updated Schoolbooks and Brimstone
.

Welcome!

I never really know what to say about myself other than "I like to draw, and I guess I'm a bit different than the other girls." And you know what, that's okay. I struggled with my differences for a long time and I've only recently come to the conclusion that it's really our quirks that make us rise above the masses.

With the new year comes great change. My popular web comic, Schoolbooks and Brimstone, just got a serious upgrade: a new site design, new comics, and new story and character development with the help of my friends, Jennifer Anderson and Greg Weisman, co-creator of Disney's Gargoyles. Check it out!

I recently helped the lovely Terryl Whitlatch (universally recognized as the great Star Wars: Episode I creature designer) with her magnum opus, The Katurran Odyssey.

Art director and producer Robert Gould asked me to teach Terryl how to color with Photoshop; I then colored all of the backgrounds in the book, adjusted Terryl's character colorwork for placement into various environments, and designed the book cover, title logo, and website for the property.

"Katurran" is a beautiful work of art, the result of intense collaboration between several creative and talented individuals. It comes out this October; click here to order the book online!

I've also found a home creating artwork for a book project with the talented writer Ari Berk (of Brian Froud's The Runes of Elfland fame). Look for their latest bit of madness, Goblins!, in the coming months.
